[wp-hackers] Other WordPress News Dashboard Widget

When the WordPress Planet feed is used in the Other WordPress News
dashboard widget, the link title ends up being similar to:

However with other feeds, it works fine (like in the Development Blog
widget). This seems to be caused by WP Planet's feed's descriptions
having < and > escaped. It should be dealt with html_entity_decode(),
however it seems $item['description'] ends up without the &lt;'s and
&gt;'s. Which is a little strange...

Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
