I just switched a 2.5.1 install to trunk and when I went into my writing
settings and both Atom and XML-RPC are disabled.  I agree that they either
have to be turned on by default for people upgrading or a prominent notice
has to be displayed explaining why things like posting your Flickr photos is
going to break suddenly.
