Actually, before I do that, it would seem to contradict this statement
on the Extend FAQ [1]:
"If you have complicated plugin with lots of files, you can of course
organize them into subdirectories, but the readme file and the root
plugin file should go straight into trunk/."

That makes me hesitant to move the root plugin file into a subfolder,
especially since extend pulls some data out of that file to generate
the page.

Can anyone more familiar with the inner workings of extend lend some
insight on this?
