2.1.x is not currently supported.  What I think Lloyd is advocating  
is that (from here on out) we not abandon the penultimate branch  
until the latest branch has at least one good stability update under  
its belt.  So, going back in time, we'd have patched 2.1.x for the  
security bugs, because as of yet, 2.2 doesn't have its first x.x.y  
release under its belt and presents somewhat of a conundrum to 2.1.3  
users.
