I agree with this approach. Instead of saving different versions of a
post, it can be made simple & effective by having it saved as a draft
every now & then & when the user comes back again, they can just
click the post link in the manage posts section & continue from where
he left. This way this feature will become more generalised than an
emergency recover feature.
Come to think of it, can't this be done as a plugin?
