Skippy's right, this is important. Allow me to clarify a few things:

* When replying to people's emails, delete everything that isn't
relevant to your response. Especially the pointless 'wp-hackers
mailing list' that gets added on to everyone's emails: they multiply
quickly and if you don't take a couple of minutes just to do a bit of
tidying up, things get out of control.
* Don't top-reply to threads. This means if your email is only in
response to one particular email, reply to that email, don't reply to
the first the in the thread.
* A related issue, which skippy didn't mention but is something that
has annoyed me is people replying to digests. Digests are for lurkers,
if you reply to one then your reply gets missed out of the
conversation and everyone ends up with a pointless email.

Sorry if this pissed anyone off, but it's getting out of hand.
