Yeah.... meetup, pretend that you're the only people in the world who have 
anything important to say about the state of the 'net, drink until you're 
shit-faced, go back to the hotel room, ride the porcelain bus until just before 
time for the first "lecture".... repeat ad infinitum ad nauseam.... Geeks are as 
stupid that way as Jaycees are/were/will always be.

Been there done that, decided it accomplished nothing 35 years ago.

Okay, I do see that a "commerce" forum would be of value.  But again, we have to 
be - um - vicious!? - in moderating.  Because there's so much grey area.... SO 
much.  So we have to be able to make snap decisions about what's commerce and 
what's free support.

I REFUSE to use MS Messenger (talk about a security risk!) or MSN, AOL gets no 
room on any hdd I own, or irc of any sort.  But we're probably going to have to 
do something like that.  The MOVE IT OR LOSE IT is going to have to be NOW.... I 
will "just" consider ICQ....
