    Thanks for steering the topic back on track. A potential issue with
    keeping abandoned theme names with the original author would be:
    does that open the table up for squatting? That is to say if the
    original author always gets to keep the theme name, what's to stop
    someone from submitting a theme with that name to reserve it? In
    this case, Journal was not approved, yet the name still remains with

                                  we'd like to see if we can have the
                                  theme name "Journal" transferred to
                                  our Slocum Themes/Slocum Studio

                                  <br>
                                  Here's a bit of back-story:<br>
                                  <br>
                                  We have a new theme that we'd like to
                                  submit named "Journal". After
                                  submitting, the theme-bot let us know
                                  that there was already a theme with
                                  that name. After doing a bit of
                                  research, we came across this ticket,
                                  <a href="https://themes.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/15796#comment:6" target="_blank">https://themes.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/15796#comment:6</a>,
                                  which appears to have been abandoned
                                  and the theme name has since changed.
                                  Here's a link to the theme as it
                                  currently sits on GitHub: <a href="https://github.com/bestwebsoft/journalism-wordpress-theme" target="_blank">https://github.com/bestwebsoft/journalism-wordpress-theme</a>.<br>
                                  <br>
                                  Is it possible to transfer the
                                  "Journal" theme name to our account?
                                  Our trac/WordPress.org username is
                                  "slocumstudio" (<a href="http://profiles.wordpress.org/slocumstudio/" target="_blank">http://profiles.wordpress.org/slocumstudio/</a>).
                                  Please let us know if any other
