His method is much lighter than TGM, which is a well done solution but includes options to do tons of things that themes in the theme repository can't do, like auto install and install from third party sites.</div></div>

<br><div>Bundled: plugin files cannot be included with theme.</div><div><br></div><div>The plugin has to exist in the repo in order for it to be downloaded. Who's to say joe somebody uses a github link or external, possibly untrusted, site to the plugin.<br>
