Hey Simon,

That's great to hear. I think we'll happily welcome DMS once the PageLines model is improved because as you seem to now understand, while everyone perhaps cannot agree on the exact issues, that they do indeed exist.

For the record, I did raise these issues directly in-ticket before DMS was even approved:

https://themes.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/14369#comment:5

And while most of the community and highly respected admin Chip all agreed that the issues I was raising had legitimacy, enough people chose to consciously ignore them and write them off as wrong or just personal when in fact as a fellow theme reviewer, all I was trying to do was help. And that's why this became such an unnecessary mess.

I should add that this issue is much bigger than PageLines and is an open, public discussion for the whole community about the precedent itself, not something to be emailed privately about. This is something we should all be knowledgeable of and learn from.

I think everything that could possibly be discussed on the issue has already been exhausted anyways, it's really just a matter of waiting for the admins to let us know what the decision is regarding WP policy. Again, they're not making a decision about PageLines directly, but the precedent itself. From there, it will depend on whatever they decide to how that will effect DMS and other themes that might fall under the same issues.

Thanks, Bryan
