<div dir="ltr">Are their any hooks that can be used to display messages to a user when they begin the theme upgrade process, but before the upgrade is installed? I don't know of any, but I could be wrong.<div><br></div>

<div style>If their were, a developer who was removing features to conform to the guidelines, could warn the user that the next update could potential damage the way their site displays content, unless they install a companion plugin, before they actually do the update. That warning could of course link to the companion plugin, and recommend they install the plugin first.</div>
