<div dir="ltr">I would love to see this as a Plugin, to be useful to other Themes. That said: if you're basically using it to allow the user to customize the page layout, and to add widgetized areas to a page, then I would consider that to be very much Theme territory. I see it as no different from a Theme offering pre-defined layout options, and pre-defined dynamic sidebars - those also disappear when the Theme is switched, with no loss of user-generated content.</div>

Based on a thread from yesterday, I have the feeling this might be<br>
plugin territory. Would I need to pull this functionality out of my<br>
themes and into a plugin?<br>

With the way I've built the plugin it's fairly generic, so could work<br>
with just about any theme. I'd be happy to put in the time to break it<br>
off into its own plugin. Just though I'd get the official word first<br>
because it will delay the release of a few of my themes.<br>
