It's not actually obvious that they can be linked somewhere else.<br><br>Let me say it was tempting to put some of my own commercial or personal URLs in these links, because they essentially bypass the link checking of the review process. Also these links disappear automatically as soon as the end user creates their own pages. <br><br>I decided just to use theme URLs on the links at the time because I thought that was the intention of the WordPress guidelines.<br><br>I would think that if they are not a permanent part of the theme (like a footer link) then using EITHER (1) <a href="http://wordpress.org/">wordpress.org</a>or (2) the theme URL or (3) the author URL or (4) <a href="http://example.com/">example.com</a> or (5) home_url() would give enough options, but not a different URL.<br><br>If you don't have guidelines you'll get all sorts of jokers linking to all sorts of places.<br><br>Wayne<div><br><div><br></div><div><div><blockquote type="cite"><div><br><br> 1. I assume you're <br>displaying some sort of image slider and each image is wrapped in a <br>link. It makes sense to me that if the user doesn't add a link, the <br>individual slide doesn't need to link anywhere.
