Possibly, but I'm leaning in the other direction. Remember: we're talking about defining the *default* background image here. Given that the purpose of the custom background feature is itself to *change the background image*, I'm not sure that it's all that big of a deal for a Child Theme to be able to change the *default* background image, if the user is going to upload/use a *custom* background image, anyway.<div>
