And that's a good point, too: specifically with respect to implementation of Post Formats, if a developer is making a specific, intentional design decision, and documents/explains that design decision in readme.txt, we should certainly be lenient.<div>
<br></div><div>Of course, we might suggest that such design intent at least have a Theme-option fallback - and user testing of such Themes might give us a better idea of what users prefer, which in turn will help in establishing the needed conventions.</div>

We can't develop "conventions" without some experimentation. I just<br>
mean that design-wise, we should allow for a somewhat lenient hand for<br>
theme authors, so as not to stifle creativity. As long as it's a<br>
design-call and not just them overlooking something, one minor thing<br>
like this is slide-able.<br>
