Although validation is important it is not, and others may disagree, an absolute point to resolve a Theme to "not-approved".<br><br>If you note items such as this and add them to your review comments, the Theme author can choose their preferred method to "correct" but if this is also the only issue and does not cause any "incorrect" display problems then the Theme should be fine to resolve as "approved".<br>

The wp standard search form contains a html5 "role" attribute, but if a html5 doctype is used, the gallery and calendar does not validate,<br>
so do we ignore this when reviewing a theme and approve it anyway, or do we suggest that a new searchform.php is created, without the role attribute?<br>
