A question regarding wp_link_pages():<div><br></div><div>Currently, the Guidelines require this template tag to be included, but it doesn't specify *where*. Would it be logical to specify that this template tag must be used wherever the_content() is used?</div>
<div><br></div><div>The reason I ask is that, while researching some Themes while responding to a WPORG support forum topic, I noticed that some Themes put wp_link_pages() in index.php, single.php, and page..php, but not in other template files, such as archive.php, etc. - even if those template files are using the_content().</div>
<div><br></div><div>This would result in the page links being output on the blog index page, but not on e.g. a category archive index - which IMHO might present a confusing UX.</div><div><br></div><div>What do you think?</div>
