Yes, but it would be worth downloading a copy of trunk for a test
site, and testing your theme on both 3.8.1 and 3.9, so that you can
find out if it breaks with the new masonry.

It should be fine, but if it's not, then that's a bug that you can
help find and report before 3.9 hits.
