[theme-reviewers] Can a theme be reviewed with Akismet plugin?

Currently I am getting too many spam comments (I think so) on my theme reviewing environment. I don't know how I am getting this, as I haven't shared the domain name with anyone yet. To get rid of this want to use Akisment. As I don't have sufficient knowledge in plugins so just want to make sure from you that it's fine using Akismet.
