[theme-reviewers] custom background

Hello
I am trying to develop a theme with custom background-color/-image 
option in it: the issue is that my custom background-color is not 
showing up after i set it via admin, if i set a custom background-image 
on it they will be show up.
any idea about how to fix it please?
