[theme-reviewers] Why the double standards and why Pagelines gets special treatment?

Theme-Check has nothing to do with it.
When you worked on a project together his judgement about your theme will
be biased, so he shouldn't be the one making the theme featured.

It should have been done by any of the other three theme admins.
