As a matter of principle, I avoid discussing such matters in
unofficial channels.

I saw a situation that to my mind is unacceptable and harmful to
WordPress—themes judged by mindless formal criteria without regard to
substance— and I came to the appropriate place to protest.

It’s as simple as that.
