Ya'll can argue this out amongst yourselves.

I don't believe in backward compatibility, personally. If people want
new features, they'll upgrade everything. Otherwise, they can just
continue to run the old version as long as they want.

But just that's my opinion. The theme review team decides what the
guidelines will be.
