Do you mean installing the updated wp-comments-post.php?
That's quite literally impossible. That one file has nothing to do
with the display of your posts. It is only called when a user posts a
comment.
Something else has must have changed if you are no longer able to see
all your posts.

Note too, that it may be that all your posts are still fine in the the
database and that an error somewhere in index.php is stopping the
script before it displays the rest
