[wp-hackers] WordPress plugin list

Are you talking about a site that, beyond the basic listing of the
plugins, has the directions for installing them as well? Ie: instead of
the various links all over authors' sites, the users simply use this
"standard" site to keep track of what's going on and all the updates?

If you are, it seems like the Wiki really already covers that, but
authors really haven't found the need / desire to use it. I myself
thought of just creating a WikiPage for my plugins and having them
directly attached to the wiki, but this just seems redundant. I believe
authors have stuck with posting the actual code to their own domains
because it affords them the luxury of knowing who is using their stuff
based on comments/refer logs; this becomes moot if the XMLRPC thing that
Stephen/Kitty/Etc. and company are discussing ever comes into play. I
for one, like the traffic my plugins generate.

Or have I missed the point?
