Why do some authors not want to have the plugin available as a download on the proposed site? As a user, it's annoying to get bounced around to download off other sites when there doesn't seem to be any good reason for it. I'd think that as long as stats for downloads were available and there was a mechanism to provide the updates, it shouldn't be a big deal? c
