Hah!  I'll see what my dog can come up with it.  :-)

In the US there is a grab bag mix of imperial and metric units.  Food is
often packaged in liters and grams, engine displacement is measured in
liters, but roads are in miles, and playing fields are in yards.
Flexible inconsistency, an American tradition. :-)

For the record, I prefer Japanese style big-endian dates, but that's
because I'm an engineer.  It's definitely not prevalent in the US, where
middle-endian is the most common.
