I spent an inordinate amount of time this weekend troubleshooting a
problem which, it turned out, was already addressed in thb bug database.
And a working patch has been submitted, but not applied.

Apart from my apparent inability to search the bug database, this made
me wonder who has svn commit access, and who I should bug to get patches
committed.

I don't presume to ask for commit access for myself, since I'm
Johnny-come-lately, but if there's any way that I can help move things
along, I'd be delighted to do so, since I'd really like to see this
project be successful.

I have ulterior motives, of course, which tends to be dhat makes OSS
projects work. ;-)
