 I have tested topic and forum feeds via http://validator.w3.org/feed/

 They are valid but have two recommendations:

 http://validator.w3.org/feed/docs/warning/AvoidTextInput.html

 and

 http://validator.w3.org/feed/docs/warning/MissingAtomSelfLink.html

 It's not a big problem but looks better without this.
