 I'd like to suggest a change to the way the (default) front page is
 handled.

 Many (busy) forums have the smart idea of a front page that consists of
 moderator promoted threads (topics) instead of just the "latest
 discussions". But of course some will prefer just the automated "latest
 discussions" if they don't have enough moderators or the traffic to
 maintain a hand selected list.

 So let's make the front page easily customised, including the order of
 display. It's very easy to do. All we need is five modules.

 1. table of forums
 2. table of latest discussions
 3. table of moderator promoted front-page topics
 4. tag heat list
 5. views list

 And from that the forum owner could decide which they wanted.

 Of course this can be done with custom templates and a plugin, in fact I
 think I begin working on such a feature (moderator promoted topics) but
 it's so simple that perhaps it should be a goal for the 1.0 core.
